I was driving home from the
grocery store yesterday and the deejay on the radio was spinning moldy oldies
and asking trivia questions. One of the questions was: “What was the first toy
or game advertised directly to children on television?” The answer is (here).
I did know he was originally a real potato. Imagine kids using one today

ReplyDeleteAs with Adam, I knew he was a real potato. As a matter of fact, that's how I played with him. I don't believe we ever wasted the food - that would have been a no-no in our house - so we probably dressed up the spud in the morning and ate him at night.
ReplyDeleteha. supply your own potato....smiles...that could get rather smelly....the first i remember is stretch armstrong....
ReplyDeleteYes, I knew that one. Real potato bit is very funny to me. But then, who doesn't love a spud?
