A Killer Case of the Hickeys

Update: Thanks to everyone who has expressed concern and sent good wishes to my mother. Grandma Chatterbox had her surgery yesterday and all appears to be well. The doctors had to remove a foot of damaged bowel and my mother claims they dropped her on the floor after surgery while transferring her to the gurney for the trip to the recovery room. The doctors say this never happened and that drugs can play games with your imagination. Mom believes there’s a conspiracy afoot and she’s demanding an investigation—sounds like the old Mom, full of piss and vinegar. I’m sure she’ll pull through just fine; her nurses and doctors are another story.

Note: If you haven’t yet joined the new Chubby Chatterbox because you aren’t pleased or familiar with Google+ or Networked Blogs, there’s a third widget that’s been added to Chubby Chatterbox. It’s called Blogtrottr and all you need to do is submit your e-mail address and then follow the simple instructions. I’m told this is extremely uncomplicated and I hope some of you will give this a try and let me know how it works.

Check here for one of my favorite true stories: A Killer Case of the Hickeys.

  1. Glad she is up and at 'em.......keeping everyone on their toes!

Dropping must be a part of it all.....I recall, clear as day sitting cross legged on the recovery stretcher, looking down and seeing a piece of shrimp fall miles below me. I kept telling my daughter I "dropped the shrimp".... lol

So, wait.....WAHT did she ask for? Did I miss that somehow? :)

I hope I am on your new list. Truth is, it didn't work that wevell for me. email...password....lots of fussing and I'm not sure it "took"...... I hope so as I'd hate to miss the fun over here! :)

    Have a lovely Sunday!
    And BEST to your Mum!

  4. Glad to hear Grandma Chatterbox is on the mend - obviously the same can't be said for the medical staff.

  6. Yay! Let's hear it for good news. There should be much more of it. Dropping a patient doesn't sound likely to me, so she doesn't have bruises, I hope they'll just let this one go.

P.S. Had she been eating the schrooms in the photo? I can easily see how they might make a person imagine all kinds of things.

  7. What a wonderful Christmas gift for you mom--a new conspiracy theory to obsess over! Wishing her a full and speedy recovery.

I'll look into blogtrotter. I've been lazy and not taken the time to look into any of these avenues, but I definitely want to keep following!
