This illustration was marketed on my
Royalty-Free CD Business Fundamentals,
sold on the Internet by Getty Images. Unlike some of the illustrations I’ve
posted, this “peculiar picture” has sold very well outside of the United
States, the last time to a company in South Korea. Since I don’t read or speak
languages other than English, I have no idea what foreign companies are
marketing with the help of my illustrations. Do you have any idea?
Maybe they're using your illustrations to sell dishwasher powder in Japan like in that old episode of "The Simpsons" when Homer finds out he's being used as a corporate logo by a Japanese company.
ReplyDeleteThat is a really neat drawing though.
If I had world enough and time...
ReplyDeleteNope but since you know, okay i assume you know, who brought the rights .. you could google to see how they've used it/them
ReplyDeleteNot a clue what they might be using it for but perhaps we could find it on a South Korean blog where they are puzzling (it's a puzzle within a puzzle) over what it means. Very cool illustration.
ReplyDeleteHmmm- very interesting. Really a great, thought provoking picture. I would think something about the puzzle pieces, too.
ReplyDeleteAnd FINALLY! I'm able to read your blog again by using Chrome-
Yea so I'm loving this one, very cool :)
ReplyDeleteHallucinogenic drugs? ;)

ReplyDeleteNo idea but what a great image.
ReplyDeleteI don't know, but I'd bet there are some humdingers of ads out there! You have an amazing imagination, Stephen!
ReplyDeleteThe men are standing on time looking at a blueprint. They are taking from the earth what they want to build what they have on the blueprint. Corporate wherever.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day. :)
Wow. I can see why this would be a big corporate seller. You're a very talented chatterbox!
ReplyDeleteI like this, and it lends itself to all sorts of interpretations, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteNesting doll of the Earth?
ReplyDeleteIt's all part of the "BIG BANG THEORY", and you know how that goes.
ReplyDeleteI love your imagination..
ReplyDeleteTime and planning, piecing the world together.
ReplyDeleteAll i know is i like it.
ReplyDeleteI say they are marketing real estate and architectural firms.
ReplyDeleteWhen you ask the question then I start looking at the picture and I see all the details. Wow!
ReplyDeleteIdeas as to what to do with our world??
Monopoly houses.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
a rubik's globe
ReplyDeleteSesang-eun peojeul-ida, that's what they are trying to say.
ReplyDeleteI have not an idea what they are using it for, but it is an interesting picture, and it very much makes me think of business. What the Koreans might use it for... ?
ReplyDeleteCat
Congratulations on selling well. That's something at least. And I like the picture.
ReplyDeleteI found it on the cover of a book about Global warming called called SHATTERED CONSENSUS.
ReplyDeleteAnother book called SUCCESSFUL STRATEGIC PLANNING.

ReplyDeleteI have no idea what they are using it to sell (maybe a complicated lego set for kids??), but you've got some seriously impressive skills there! Wow!
