The Center of the Universe

 

The Middle Ages were a time of religious pilgrimage, and an era that proclaimed Jerusalem as the center of the universe. Wealthy Christians were required to make a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, but if you couldn't there was another way to make the journey. Read about it (here).
